So Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Some people love it, some people find it cheesy and others just feel plain sorry for themselves.
Well, whether you’re spending it with someone you love, having a Galentine’s day or a day dedicated to self-care, show yourself a little love this Valentine’s day because you’re amazing and you deserve it.
I’ve broken down three cute ideas for Valentine’s day depending on who you’re spending it with, so hopefully you won’t feel as lost as to what to do on the day.
With the bae
So I think more than an expensive present, planning something fun with the person you love will make it a much more memorable and enjoyable day. Buyagift have a huge variety of fun days out all over the UK for you to choose with your other half. From dinner at the Shard, to spa breaks and adrenaline packed car racing experiences, you’ll be sure to find something that fits both you and your partner’s interests.
With the gals
I’m super grateful to still be best friends with my girls from secondary school – they’ve been there for me through thick and thin and never fail to make me laugh. If you’re spending the day with your gal pals, grab a few bowls worth of popcorn so you can watch He’s Just Not That Into You and laugh hysterically at all the super relatable scenarios. My favourite chill-moments with my friends usually involves girl talk with ghostly looking face masks on. So I always have a pot of Soap & Glory Fab Pore 2-in-1 Facial Pore Purifying Mask & Peel ready for us to slather on when we need it. It feels so refreshing on the skin and it’s got these tiny little beads that almost melt away, which help to deep clean and unclog your pores. It’s insane how much smaller your pores look after this!
With me, myself and I
Say you just don’t buy into this whole Valentine’s Day crap, maybe you’re single, maybe your partner is away, don’t leave yourself out – just pamper yourself. My favourite thing to do when I want to just destress and have some me time is having a nice, warm bubble bath. I light some candles, generously pour in some Bayliss Harding bath soak (this stuff is just £3.00 but looks and feels so luxurious), splash in a few drops of Burt’s bees bath and body oil and if I have any aches from trying to be too ambitious at the gym, I throw in some Dead Sea salt which also softens the skin. After all, you can’t find true love until you love yourself (hahaha, sorry I had to throw some cheese in, c’mon).
How are you spending your Valentine’s Day this year?
P.S. The rose petals featured in my photos are actually soap, crazy right?! I found these pretty pink ones in Tiger and they’re also available in red too. So if you ever want to make your bath extra special without making a mess, getcha self some soap petals!
